About Us

Company Background
CNR was founded in 1996 by Chad and Ron Graves as a father and son operation completing small local projects. Over time, the company expanded into excavation, trucking, and railroad services, entering the railroad industry in 2004. Today, CNR operates as a full service industrial construction company providing maintenance, construction, and emergency response services across multiple industries. In 2018, CNR expanded into the mining sector, applying the same proven system of safety, execution, and accountability that defines our railroad and construction projects.
Safety and Compliance
Safety is integrated into every phase of CNR’s operations. We comply with all applicable FRA, OSHA, and MSHA regulations and follow customer specific safety requirements on each project. Safety planning begins with the scope of work and design, and includes pre-job assessments, site specific safety plans, and ongoing field oversight. Our personnel receive the highest-quality equipment and continuous training while maintaining required certifications to support railroad, mining, and industrial environments. CNR maintains a safety record that exceeds national industry averages, including a TRIR of 0.0 for 2025.
